Robe Leadership Institute Seminar

Held each fall, the institute’s seminar enables students to study leadership fundamentals and to observe and compare varied leadership styles as they formulate their own. The seminar offers readings, class presentations, videotapes, and case studies on successful leaders. Visiting speakers – many of them Russ College alumni – who have reached eminent leadership positions in various fields participate in the seminar and share their knowledge and experiences.

Participating students are chosen through a comprehensive interview process that begins at the departmental level of the Russ College. The institute director then interviews nominees. Participants are designated Robe Leadership Institute Scholars and awarded a modest stipend.

Institute scholars have access to a special study area in Stocker Center, the Russ College’s home. Housing a library of books, audio materials, and video materials on leadership and prominent leaders, the Loehr Leadership Resource Center is also equipped with a computer and audio/visual equipment.
