is a one-day competition that helps area high school students learn how engineering touches almost every aspect of our lives. Questions, which represent first-year college engineering coursework, have dealt with such real-world engineering issues as air transportation, bridge design and rehabilitation, flood analysis, solar-powered vehicles, and food preservation. Each year, we host approximately 150 students from area high schools on the Athens campus to compete in this competition.
