The Russ College will mark the opening of the NanOstUdio interactive nanomaterials discovery center with an open house for students, faculty and staff on Tues., March 18, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the studio, located inside the Academic & Research Center project hangar.
Founded by Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Savas Kaya and funded by a National Science Foundation grant and the Ohio University 1804 Fund, the studio features a series of learning stations that allow users to interact with and better understand nanomaterials and the everyday products where they can be found.
Faculty can use the studio for class instruction, Russ College students are available to perform research there, and the studio will welcome local school for outreach activities including demonstrations and visits throughout the year.
