Apply by Mon., Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. for the Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program established by the Department of Defense to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. If chosen, you’ll receive full tuition funding as well as cash stipends ranging from $25,000-$38,000 annually, as well as health care and book allowances and paid summer internships. The program’s goal is to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
