Hear how systems engineers can improve government decision-making

Transportation consultant and former Ohio Department of Transportation Director Gordon Proctor will give a lecture about “How Systems Engineers Can Serve Society,” on Thurs., Feb. 13, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Stocker Center 103.

Since heading the nation’s seventh largest state transportation department for seven years, Proctor has gone on to serve as a consultant to the transportation industry. His administration at ODOT prioritized asset management, safety, freight forecasting and project delivery, and was nationally recognized for sound infrastructure management.

Jointly hosted by the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the student chapter of Institute of Industrial Engineers, free food will be provided.
