Industrial engineer and Ohio University alumnus Ronald Dravenstott and colleagues from Geisinger Health Systems (GHS) will present a lecture on health care engineering on Wed., March 19, at 6 p.m. in the Academic & Research Center 314.
Presented by the OHIO student chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the lecture will cover how industrial and systems engineering aids short- and long-term decision making using predictive modeling, discrete-event simulation modeling, exact optimization, and Monte Carlo simulation tools -- all of which have helped GHS build a better healthcare delivery system.
Pizza and beverages will be provided.
