Human Factors and Ergonomics is the science of designing products and systems to match the abilities, needs, and limitations of people in order to improve productivity, safety, performance, and user happiness.
Led by director and Associate Professor Diana Schwerha, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory studies a range of human factors that affect workplace outcomes for specific populations. In 2012, Schwerha and Associate Professor Gary Weckman were awarded a NIOSH Training Project Grant in Occupational Safety. We currently have funding for MS graduate students for the 2013-2014 academic year. For more info., contact Diana Schwerha at 740.593.1577.
