Style guidelines
The Russ College style guidelines show how graphics, color, photo selection, and tone of voice come together to tell our story. It's a handy resource if you're putting together a presentation or poster. For questions or help, contact the Office of External Relations.
Logo and fonts
The Russ College logo uses the Ohio University logo. The OHIO “Attack Cat” logo is reserved for Athletics purposes only. To obtain the Ohio University logo with or without the Russ College or your unit name accompanying it, contact the Office of External Relations
Ohio University uses two fonts, Galliard and Frutiger, which can be ordered online from the Office of Information Technology. Galliard should be used for written correspondence on university letterhead.
Letterhead
To order university letterhead for your group, contact Printing and Graphic Services.
E-mail signatures
Faculty/staff and student versions the Russ College e-mail signature are available for your professional use. It's easy to personalize yours by typing your information over the customizable lines while keeping the font, color, and size intact. Just copy the signature text and paste it into your e-mail program's signature feature.
Remember that when using the signature, you're representing Ohio University and the Russ College. Please don't replace the Ohio University logo or Create for Good graphics with others. The OHIO “Attack Cat” logo is reserved for Athletics purposes only.
Business card (two-sided)
To help start the conversation about who we are, we developed an optional back side for the Ohio University business card. Both faculty/staff and students can request to use it. For faculty/staff cards, contact Printing and Graphic Services. For student cards, check out these Russ College details.
E-news
The Russ College's weekly e-newsletter, E-News, is sent to faculty, staff, students, and select parents and board members every Monday. Submit your information via the Web form or e-mail by the Thursday prior to each Monday issue. To join the mailing list, contact the Office of External Relations.
Flyer template
The Russ College flyer template is a color “shell,” similar to a letterhead, on which you can print info. about lectures and events. They're available for each department and research unit, and for support/special programs. You can download a Word template and add your text.
Tip: Use the OHIO fonts when creating a flyer, and avoid clip art. Also, the flyer template should always be used in color. If you need a black-and-white version, contact the Office of External Relations. The flyer shell should not be used in place of letterhead.
Powerpoint presentation
The new Russ College “Create for Good” presentation template features several options for title, slide, and graph layouts using the graphic look and feel defined in our style guidelines. You’ll have the most success by starting with the instructions – trust us! Find it and supporting documents on the Russ College shared drive in the "ENT_Public" folder.
Talking points
If you're giving a tour or taking a trip, we can share some talking points to help you find fun ways to talk about who we are. For more information, contact the Office of External Relations.
Create for Good video
The Russ College Create for Good video is a great catalyst for telling our story. Feel free to share it as part of your presentation or event.
Create for Good banners
The Russ College has two “Create for Good” banners available for loan for your event. More banners will be in the works.
