Before joining Ohio University in 1999, Dr. Goetz taught biomedical engineering at the University of Memphis. He served as a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, and as a process engineer with Eli Lilly and Company.

Research Activities

Dr. Goetz's research focus is biomedical engineering, specifically, drug delivery and the biochemistry and physics of cell adhesion. Dr. Goetz has an active research program with external support. His graduate students have gone on to employment with firms such as Genentech, and to postdoctoral appointments at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School.
