NIH awards AREA grant to BME faculty member 

Li Xu, a member of the biomedical engineering faculty, was awarded a National Institutes of Health grant for 2008-11. The Academic Research Enhancement Award of $220,500 will be used for his project "Tone Acquisition in Young Children with Cochlear Implants."

Xu is an associate professor of hearing, speech, and language sciences in the College of Health and Human Services.
