Academic & Research Center fosters collaborative research
Feb. 19, 2013
The collaborative environment fostered by the Academic & Research Center is explored in a University Communications and Marketing feature article that focuses on the experiences of biomedical engineering master's program faculty members Kelly McCall and Doug Goetz, the program director.
The article also mentions the influence of the late Leonard Kohn, who was a key advocate for the establishment of the BME program.
The Academic & Research Center, which opened in 2010, encourages researchers from the university's engineering and medical colleges to work together. Six members of the BME faculty have laboratories there.
