Engineering Ambassador Activities 2005-2006
Ohio University Student Activity and Research Fair
On May 4, 2006, the Engineering Ambassadors helped expose local middle-school student to engineering at a special engineering event as part of the Ohio University Student Activity and Research Fair. The Ambassadors helped register the students, then led student teams to performed two experiments: an egg drop competition and a structure competition. For the egg drop competition, students had to build a structure around an egg that would protect the egg from a drop off the Walter Hall rotunda balcony. For the structure competition, the students had to construct a platform out of gumdrops and toothpicks, to hold a load of CDs. Afterward, the Ambassadors accompanied the students to the Activity and Research Fair and to lunch.
