Engineering Ambassador Activities 2005-2006
First-year Student Orientation
The Engineering Ambassadors were an important part of the fall 2005 Russ College of Engineering and Technology First-year Student Orientation. When the students first arrived, they were assigned to classrooms according to their academic programs. Engineering Ambassadors served as hosts and guides by directing students to assigned rooms and answering general questions about Stocker Center and the event. In the group sessions, faculty members gave 30-minute-long presentations about each department’s program, then students from each department spoke. Finally, the Engineering Ambassadors hosted 15-minute-long question-and-answer sessions in each classroom. Everyone then returned to the Stocker Center lobby for snacks and drinks, where the Engineering Ambassadors socialized with the new students.
