For Ohio Up Close, the University's recruiting events for admitted students, prospective engineering students gathered in Stocker Center on Fridays during winter quarter to learn more about Ohio University opportunities. Russ College Associate Dean for Academics Ken Sampson gave a presentation about life and education at Ohio University to students and parents, and Engineering Ambassadors hosted a a question-and-answer session. The prospective students and parents asked candid questions about Ohio University, its national rankings, quality of life and education, and reputation.

Afterward, faculty, ambassadors, prospective students, and parents had lunch and enjoyed more personal discussion. The events provided valuable insight to not only the potential students, but also Russ College faculty and the Engineering Ambassadors, who learned what issues are important to incoming students.
