Engineering Ambassador Activities 2004-2005
Time and Stress Management Workshop

To assist in students' rapidly growing schedules and time demands, the Engineering Ambassadors presented an open workshop by Becky Bushey-Miller of University Professional Development about managing time, priorities, and the resulting stress from deadlines. About 15 students attended the winter quarter interactive session, in which they shared their experiences with stress and time management problems. Quizzes and exercises helped the students determine their time management habit and what time management styles would work best for them and those with whom they work.

Ms. Bushey-Miller emphasized prioritizing and completing projects, identifying and eliminating common distractions, and building relaxation into every day. For those who are at the mercy of their schedules, this workshop provided balance and important reflection on a student’s life and stress management tactics.
