Engineering Ambassador Activities 2004-2005
School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Retreat

Ambassadors Dave Andrews, Amanda Langsdorf, and Jim Wyllie attended the EECS faculty retreat October 1, 2004, at Burr Oak State Park. This annual retreat is attended by all EECS faulty. The Ambassadors were asked to attend to provide student input on issues such as student cohesion and curriculum improvements. Dave and Jim also gave short presentations discussing curriculum highlights and the Cooperative Education Program. After discussing current issues with the entire faculty, the Ambassadors met separately with the EECS advisory board to discuss specific concerns addressed in the general meeting.  All Ambassadors agreed the event was an amazing opportunity for them, as they got to speak to their professors in a less formal environment, give opinions on the curriculum, and learn what the faculty must do in order to maintain an accredited program.
