Dr. Young joined Ohio University in 1996. She has been involved in air quality research everywhere from Nashville, Tennessee to Barrow, Alaska. Dr. Young is the faculty advisor for the Ohio University chapter of Omega Chi Epsilon (the chemical engineering honor society) and for the Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Organization.


Research Interests: Air quality monitoring and modeling Measurements of organic compounds at ppt-levels in the atmosphere Modeling transport and fate of atmospheric pollutants Current funded research: Determination of Br and Cl atom levels in the Arctic springtime atmosphere Modeling the transport of fire emissions through Indiana bat habitat during prescribed burning
