David served with the United States Navy.  After completing two years of Naval Nuclear Power schooling, he served on board the USS Henry M. Jackson SSBN 730 Gold.  David received several awards and citations while completing four years of service and 7 deterrent patrols.  Some of them are:  National Defense Service Medal, Submarine Warfare Insignia, Good Conduct Medal, and 2 Navy "E" ribbons.  David was an Engineering Laboratory Technician and his duties included analytical water and radiochemistry, dose monitoring, and radiation and contamination surveys.  David enrolled in Ohio University in the Fall of 1999 and graduated in 2003 with a degree in Microbiology.  Prior to joining EHS, David served the Ohio University College of Medicine Department of Biomedical Sciences as the Anatomical Assistant and Chemical Hygiene Officer for two years.
