Wouter Pelgrum earned his Ph.D. in 2006 from Delft University, the Netherlands, and received his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E from the same university. From 2001-2006, Dr. Pelgrum worked at Reelektronika, a firm specialized in integrated navigation systems, and he had his own company from 2006-2008. In January 2009, Wouter Pelgrum joined Ohio University’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department.

Research Activities

At Ohio University, Wouter works on a variety of projects:

RIGR: Road-Mapping IMU GPS Receiver, GAEM: GPS Anomalous Event Monitoring, Measurement of the impact of ionospheric scintillations on GNSS signal propagation, NAVTEQ-ADAS: Advanced Driver Assistance System, Sub-terrain radionavigation, Robust Time and Frequency transfer, and terrestrial backups for GNSS.
