Welcome to Education Abroad CONGRATULATIONS on your decision to make education abroad an integral part of your academic experience as a student at Ohio University. This decision will no doubt have a positive impact on your life,not only academically, but professionally and personally. By studying abroad, you are enriching your capacity to be a both a competent and competitive member of the workforce of the 21stcentury. You are to be commended for your commitment to attaining a global education.
Getting to your destination, however, requires time and thorough planning, and we encourage you to begin your preparations today. This handbook provides a great deal of useful information to help you fully prepare for the unique experience that awaits you. It is your responsibility to read through it carefully and pay attention to policy and procedures. It will guide you through the process and help you sort out what needs to be done to ensure a successful experience abroad.
