This program is designed for intermediate-level students of Classical Greek. Participants can earn either undergraduate or graduate credit.
The first three weeks of the program are devoted to learning elementary Modern Greek in Rhodes. Participants will also have a chance to become acquainted with the major archaeological sites near Athens, including Delphi. The next three weeks take students throughout the Peloponnese and Crete for concentrated study of archaeological sites. The final four weeks are spent on quiet Aegean islands sight-reading long passages of Homer and Plato six to eight hours a day.

Eligibility and selection process
Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed at least 5 quarters (3 semesters) of Classical Greek prior to departure and who are in good academic standing are welcome to apply.

All students will participate in four courses (available for undergraduate or graduate credit through Ohio University):
- Modern (Demotic) Greek
- History and Archeology of Greece
- Intermediate /Advanced Greek Reading (Homer)
- Intermediate /Advanced Greek Reading (Plato)
