Using your financial aid for education abroad
Ohio University financial aid may be applied to Ohio University-sponsored study abroad and exchange programs, programs offered through the Ohio International Consortium (OIC), and affiliated third party providers. See Planning your experience for more details on these programs.

1. Open to participants of the Chubu University Study Abroad program.
2. Need and performance based.
Donald N. Nelson Scholarship
for OIC

1. Open to U.S. citizens who are full-time, degree-seeking undergrads.
2. Must be at least a junior.
3. Min. 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Hocking Valley Bank Award 1. Scholarships for Economics or Business majors participating in Modern Language programs abroad.

Summer Travel Grant
(U.S. Citizens & Permanent
Residents)

1. Demonstrated financial
need.
2. Must be participating in a credit-bearing summer program through one of the approved organizations.
3. Must be registered for a minimum of 4 OU credit hours in the summer (except medical students).
Summer Travel Grant
(International Students)

1. Cannot be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
2. Participating on an Ohio University sponsored study abroad program of at least 2 weeks in length.
3. Min. 3.3 cumulative GPA.
