OEA scholarships for winter break, spring semester, spring break and summer 2013-14 & fall 2014 study abroad programs now available!

Using your financial aid for education abroad
Ohio University financial aid may be applied to Ohio University-sponsored study abroad and exchange programs, programs offered through the Ohio International Consortium (OIC), and affiliated third party providers. See Planning your experience for more details on these programs.

Office of Education Abroad Need-Based Travel Grant: summer & fall 2013.

Application Deadline: Friday, February 1, 2013
Eligibility
  1. Undergraduate OHIO student applying for a summer or fall semester 2013 program for credit.
  2. Must have FAFSA on file
Office of Education Abroad Merit Scholarship: all terms 2013 - 2014
Deadlines
Application deadline for winter break, spring semester & spring break programs 2013-14: Tuesday, October 1, 2013
Application deadline for summer term and fall semester 2014 programs: Friday, January 31, 2014.
Eligibility
  1. Undergraduate OHIO student applying for winter break, spring semester, spring break or summer 2013-14 or fall semester 2014-15 program for credit.
  2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Office of Education Abroad Graduate & HCOM Student Travel Award: all terms 2013 - 2014
Deadlines
Application deadline for winter break, spring semester & spring break programs 2013-14: Tuesday, October 1, 2013
Application deadline for summer term and fall semester 2014 programs: Friday, January 31, 2014.
Eligibility
  1. Must be OHIO graduate or OHIO Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine student applying for participation on a winter break, spring semester, spring break or summer 2013-14 or fall semester 2014-15 education abroad program for academic credit.
  2. Program must fit into applicant's academic program and career goals.
  3. HCOM students must be participating on an OHIO-sponsored program or an approved international rotation.
Office of Education Abroad Study Abroad Diversity Travel Award
Deadlines
Application Deadline: Friday, February 1, 2013
Eligibility
  1. Must be enrolled at Ohio University as a full-time, degree-seeking student
  2. Must be applying or accepted to a credit-bearing study abroad program sponsored by OHIO or another accredited institution during summer or fall semester 2013. HCOM students must be participating on an OHIO-sponsored program or an approved independent international rotation.
  3. Must be US citizen or permanent resident alien.
J. Michael Lawrie Global Education Scholarship

2012 Winter break/Spring semester programs: November 22, 2012 (The deadline has been extended)
2013 Summer/Fall programs: February 15, 2013
Eligibility
  1. Arts & Sciences students with junior or senior status at the time of the program.
  2. Min. 3.4 cumulative GPA.
