Non-Ohio Students
Non-Ohio University Students

The steps below are for participants from other universities who wish to participate in an Ohio University study abroad program. Please check the program website to determine whether or not the program accepts non-OHIO students.
  1. Apply online - because you do not have an Ohio University student ID, there is no way to save your application. Because of this, please make sure you have all information needed to apply readily available. You will need:
  • Two email addresses for recommendation requests.
  • A personal statement detailing the reasons you have chosen the particular program, and how it will benefit you personally and academically (.doc or .pdf).
  • An unofficial copy of your transcript in .doc or .pdf format to upload.

Upon program acceptance, complete the appropriate non-degree application form and submit it with an original transcript to the Office of Education Abroad. You do not need to submit the application fee. (Hint: If you are participating on a program and you do not intend to receive credit for your participation, submit the Undergraduate Non-Degree Application, regardless of your student status.)
