What are the benefits of study abroad for someone in Psychology?
Human behavior is cross-cultural. Students who study abroad have the opportunity to explore topics in psychology in a cross-cultural context. Through studying in another country, psychology students will develop cross-cultural skills that will set them apart and deepen their understanding of the field.
When is the best time for Psychology students to go abroad?
Study abroad for psychology majors is flexible. Spring of sophomore year or fall of junior year are recommended times for study abroad, but the best time to go really depends on the student's goals. Because psychology and integrated social studies education majors have field based practicum experiences for their major, they will want to work closely with their advisor in planning for their study abroad experience.
