Welcome Letter
Welcome from the Director

Welcome to your portal to education abroad at Ohio University. Whether you hope to study in Australia, learn ancient Greek in the shadow of Greek ruins, research tropical disease vectors in Ecuador, trace the history of Italian art in Florence, partake in a joint consulting project with businesses in Hungary, or uncover the program that best matches your curricular and personal goals, the Office of Education Abroad is here to help you.

Education abroad, be it studying, interning, teaching, working, or volunteering, is an opportunity for you to expand your academic and personal horizons, and learn more about yourself, other cultures, and the way in which people across the globe live and work together every day. You’ll develop and enhance soft skills valued by employers and graduate schools, such as flexibility, the ability to think on your feet, and a good sense of humor.

Please take some time to browse through our website. You’ll find information on how to choose the best program for you, program offerings, health and safety tips, and more. When you’re ready to map out your own education abroad plan, please come in for walk-in advising from 1-4 Monday through Friday during the quarter.

We look forward to helping you chart your expedition abroad!

Catherine C. Marshall
Director
