Perianne Bates holds the B.Ed. and the M.Ed. in Special Education from Ohio University. An instructor in the Teacher Education Department, Bates primarily teaches courses in special education. Her research interests include emotional and behavioral disorders among children, the integration of children with disabilities into general education classrooms, and the use of positive behavior support.
