Deborah Cochran holds the B.S. in Family and Child Development from the Ohio State University and the M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Illinois. She earned the Ph.D. in Early Childhood Special Education from Utah State University. Dr. Cochran currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education. Her research investigates four domains: personnel preparation standards, universal design for learning (UDL), formative assessment, and technologically mediated and distance learning. She serves as a member of the national committee to revise the CEC/DEC Early Childhood Special Education Personnel Preparation Standards.
