Dr. Peter Mather holds the B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Indianapolis and the M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. He then received the Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia in 1996. He has worked as Assistant Dean of Student Development at Duke University and the Director of Educational Programs at The Carter Center. Dr. Mather teaches courses in student development theory, supervises a practicum in student affairs and directs a service-learning program in Honduras each year. His research interests include outcomes of international service-learning and the application of positive psychology to student affairs practice.
