Dr. Mona Robinson holds the B.S. in Psychology and the M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Ohio State University. She then received the Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Services from the Ohio State University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor, and Licensed Social Worker. Prior to her employment at Ohio University, Dr. Robinson served as a counselor and administrator of vocational rehabilitation counseling and employment services to persons with severe mental illness and other barriers to employment. Dr. Robinson currently teaches core courses in counselor education. Her major research interests include rehabilitation counselor education, psychiatric rehabilitation, multicultural counseling, and dual diagnosis. Dr. Robinson is also the Past President of the National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns, the Ohio Rehabilitation Association, the Ohio Rehabilitation Counseling Association, the Central Ohio Counseling Association, and Past Board Member of the National Rehabilitation Association.
