GRADUATION INFORMATION

Graduation is a time to celebrate what you've accomplished.

However, graduation is not automatic. To graduate, all students (undergraduate, graduate, and medical) must apply online or at Registrar Services, Chubb Hall. The application must be submitted no later than the published graduation deadline for the term in which graduation is planned.

There is a $50 application for graduation fee.

Students may graduate at the end of any term, but there is only one graduation ceremony per year, on the second Saturday in June 2012 and during the first week of May in future years. If you wish to walk in this commencement ceremony you need to order your cap and gown and let the Commencement office know you plan to walk. You can find the information at www.ohio.edu/commencement.

Individuals may participate in the commencement ceremony if they will be completing courses during the summer immediately following the June ceremony. If an individual wishes to walk in the June 2012 commencement ceremony and have his/her name listed in the program as a candidate for graduation, s/he will need to apply for spring quarter graduation and indicate on the application (there is a drop-down box) that the degree will not be finished until the end of summer quarter.

The system will assess the student $55 ($50 application fee for spring and $5 for the reapplication for summer graduation) so the student does not need to reapply for summer graduation.

Students must apply for graduation and pay the graduation fee no later than the date published for the quarter they wish to graduate.
