- Education Club
- The OUE Education Club is a new and very active student club. The purpose of the group is to provide services to benefit local children. In the past we have held book drives, book fairs, pop tab drives, and a literacy night. We have also done such fundraisers as bake sales, raffles, and duck chucks at basketball games. The money raised was used to buy Christmas presents for two local families. We also have participated in area events such as the St. Clairsville Christmas Parade, Sugar for Reindeer, and Buckeye Local High School Cultural Fair. Education majors or anyone wanting to help local children are welcomed to join the group.
- If interested in joining contact Dr. Paula McMurray-Schwarz at mcmurray@ohio.edu or Club President Lindsey Bowman at lb762511@ohio.edu.

- Nerd Club
- Ever feel like you don't quite fit in? Or do you fit in, and just enjoy some strange things? Join us at the Nerd Club. Here we celebrate our uniqueness. At meetings, we often play games or just sit around discussing common interest. Last year, we had regular games of euchre, Magic the Gathering, Yu-gi-oh, chess and others. We also had a group dedicated to anime. We also had members who were aficionados of video games, Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, comics, and horror films. We would enjoy having others willing to share their own obsessions/compulsions.
- Contact faculty advisor Dr. John Prather for more information at prather@ohio.edu.
- Meets Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Shannon Hall 317. Come both days or either!
- Off-Campus Explorers
- This club will look for opportunities to explore the region by making day trips off-campus to places like Pittsburgh or Columbus . Some ideas that have been mentioned range from attending a Pirates game or a play in Pittsburgh, to going to some of the museums in Pittsburgh or Columbus, or even just getting some ethnic food that is not available locally. Other ideas would be encouraged, and club members would decide what interest them most. OUE will provide transportation to any events that we decide to attend.
- Contact faculty advisor Dr. John Prather for more information at prather@ohio.edu.
