Transfer Admissions Criteria

Ohio University Eastern offers a variety of opportunities for transfer students seeking a high quality university education. Part of our mission as a regional campus is to make higher education accessible to all students in our local communities.

We are an open-enrollment institution; however restrictive and selective criteria are in effect for some of our academic programs. Admission to Ohio University Eastern does not automatically guarantee admission into a specific college or program within the University. Because some majors require specific transfer admissions criteria, it is advised that transfer students begin working immediately with their academic advisor to determine whether they meet the transfer requirements for their intended major and to establish an understanding of their degree completion requirements.

You must be in good academic standing with, and eligible to return to, your previous institution(s). Students who are not in good academic standing may be admitted under transfer probation. Students admitted under transfer probation will be required to achieve satisfactory academic progress within a defined period of time and meet regularly with their academic advisor.

Ohio University-Eastern has a rolling admissions policy, which means that students may be admitted any term during the year. Transfer students must apply and have official final transcripts sent from each institution of higher education attended before enrolling in courses at OUE.
