Job Posting: DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Ohio University Eastern is seeking applications from highly motivated development professionals for a part-time position as Development Officer. The successful candidate will serve as the primary development officer for the campus, reporting jointly to the Dean and to the Director of Major Gifts in Athens. The Development Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating all major gift activity for the campus working closely with the Dean, faculty and Ohio University's central development staff in identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gift prospects. The Eastern campus is one of five regional campuses of Ohio University offering twelve bachelor's degrees, and the first year of general studies in many majors. Located in the Ohio Valley, Ohio University Eastern is a non-residential campus with approximately 1000 students. The campus is located 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh and 120 miles east of Columbus. For additional information go to www.ohio.edu/eastern/.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required. The candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects of fund raising and possess a minimum of three years of successful fund raising experience. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as are strong organizational skills and demonstrated initiative.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree.
