Regional Coordinating Council

In accordance with State of Ohio law, the Ohio University Board of Trustees has established Regional Coordinating Councils at each of its regional campuses. The responsibilities and prerogatives of the Councils are outlined in the Bylaws as follows:

The general and essential function of the Councils is to ensure, for the University and the regional communities they serve, that there exist opportunities for sharing of information and exchange of viewpoints and ideas between members of the communities and the appropriate University Officials.

The Ohio University Eastern Campus Regional Coordinating Council is composed of business, and community leaders from Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, and Noble. The Council has made an effort to maintain a diverse membership reflective of the demographics of the service area.
