Lady Panthers advance to fifth straight ORCC Final Four
LANCASTER, Ohio - Alex Kuhn was the catalyst as OUE jumped on Wright State Lake from the opening tip. The 5'6" sharpshooter from Monroe Central netted 17 points first half points, which included three bonus bombs, as the Lady Panthers sprinted into intermission with a commanding 39-21 lead. OUE held the double digit lead throughout the second half in cruising to their fifth straight Ohio Regional Campus State Tournament Final Four 73-60 over the Barons. Kuhn finished with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Shadyside's Kelsey Holloway also had a nice game. The 5'8" guard from Shadyside had 16 points, 7 boards and 3 steals. St. John's Natalie Perzanowski totaled 12 points, 4 steals and 4 assists. Shadyside's Sarah Neavin added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Third seeded OUE will play Miami Middletown, the two seed, on Saturday, February 23 at 3pm at Akron Wayne. The two rivals have met once this year. The Thunderhawks soundly defeated OUE 85-55 on January 12 in Middletown. The Lady Panthers defeated MUM in last year's state finals 79-62.
