Ohio University Eastern offers intercollegiate athletics in women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, and co-ed golf. The athletic program is an important part of Ohio University Eastern Campus' effort to provide opportunities for personal growth.
Intercollegiate competition is primarily with other regional campuses in Ohio, including those of Akron, Cincinnati, Kent State, Miami, Ohio State, and Ohio University. The men's and women's basketball teams also play NCAA schools, such as Fairmont State, Slippery Rock, West Liberty State and Wheeling Jesuit.
Each sport competes in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. The men's and women's basketball teams have achieved a high level of success over the years.Overall, the Lady Panthers have won the conference title nine times since 1990. The 2011-12 team repeated as Ohio Regional Campus State Tournament Champions by defeating league rival Miami Middletown 79-62 to capture their league record seventh state title overall. The men's team has won three conference banners since 2001.
The Panthers play all of their home games and matches in the beautiful Health and Physical Education Center, which is located on campus. The facility is also the home of the OVAC Basketball Championships and the Eastern District Sectional and District Basketball Tournaments.
