Research Interests

I study the link between abnormal movement patterns and musculoskeletal injury by examining the biomechanics and neuromuscular control of gait. I apply these methods to populations who are at risk for the development or who have existing osteoarthritis of the knee with the hope of developing innovative treatment strategies. In particular, I am most interested in individuals who have undergone a partial meniscectomy procedure or who have diabetes mellitus, as both of these populations have disproportionately high incidences of knee osteoarthritis.
