Research Interest

My overall research interests are the diabetes prevention and β-cell preservation in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). One key area is to better understand the phenomena of "metabolic memory" & "legacy effect" of diabetes control observed in clinical trials. The current project is to study the "legacy effect" of glycemic control after short-term insulin therapy in a high-fat diet induced T2DM mouse model.
