Many excellent resources about diabetes already exist and have been created by groups listed below.

The American Diabetes Association
Funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes and advocate for those denied their rights because of diabetes.

Central Ohio Diabetes Association
Founded by a group of local physicians, the Central Ohio Diabetes Association has provided service to the Central Ohio community for 47 years. The agency is not affiliated with a national organization. It is a local, not-for-profit 501(C)3 private agency with a direct service focus serving Franklin County and 10 outlying counties.

American Association of Diabetes Educators
AADE is a multidisciplinary association of healthcare professionals dedicated to integrating self-management as a key outcome in the care of people with diabetes and related chronic conditions.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the public's and news media's best source for the most accurate, credible and timely food and nutrition information. The Academy is available to help with everything from providing background information to arranging an interview with an Academy spokesperson.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Providing services to connect volunteers to children, adolescents and adults with this disease, JDRF is a charitable supporter of T1D research.

National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse
The National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC) is an information dissemination service of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The NIDDK is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Children with Diabetes
Children with Diabetes, Inc. promotes understanding of the care and treatment of diabetes in children to increase awareness of the need for unrestricted diabetes care at school and daycare, to support families living with diabetes, and to promote understanding of research into a cure.

Diabetes Education Online
An online educational resource for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. One of the oldest diabetes education programs and a pioneer in the development of intensive self-management regimens to support individuals living with diabetes.

National Diabetes Education Initiative
An online community for professional diabetes education, clinically relevant information and programs to address practice gaps in diabetes.

CDC Diabetes Public Health Resource
CDC's Division of Diabetes Translation translates diabetes research into daily practice to understand the impact of the disease, influence health outcomes and improve access to quality health care.

National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) conducts and supports basic and clinical research on many of the most serious diseases affecting public health.

Diabetes, A Family Matter
The Diabetes: A Family Matter website has information about diabetes care and prevention, working with families with diabetes and toolkits for information, activities, and media geared towards those suffering from diabetes.
