Diabetes and Endocrine Care Center

The Diabetes and Endocrine Care Center (DECC) houses the clinical arm of The Diabetes Institute.  The center is managed by University Medical Associates (UMA) in partnership with the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The DECC  is a vibrant practice that combines excellence in clinical care, comprehensive interdisciplinary teaching and complete patient care serving the people of Appalachian Ohio and Western WV. The Center is integrated both with Ohio University and is on the campus of O'Bleness Hospital. This allows continuous care in the both inpatient and outpatient settings. Within the DECC there are endocrinologists, diabetologists, nurse practitioners, certified diabetes nurse educators, and dietitians. The breadth of our core faculty provides assistance with all aspects with Diabetes Care.
