The International Development Studies Program is dedicated to producing graduates who will be facilitators and catalysts for international development. The study of international development is approached from a multidisciplinary standpoint with a combination of theory and practical application. Students build upon a core program while specializing in one of four concentrations:

Founded in 1977, the International Development Studies Program at Ohio University offers a diverse atmosphere designed for students who have a background and interest in the natural or social sciences, and who wish to incorporate one of these disciplines into the field of international development.
