Betty Thomas

Betty Thomas (BFA '69)

Emmy Award-winning director and producer Betty Thomas, BFA ’69, is committed to helping film students achieve their goals. Her $100,000 gift endowed an award in her name for the College of Fine Arts. Thomas began to fund the Betty Thomas Film Award in 1996 with annual gifts. The permanent endowment, established in 2002, supports female School of Film graduate students.

Your annual gift can positively impact your income tax situation by providing a charitable gift tax deduction. You can deduct up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income in the year of the gift, and if necessary, carry forward the balance of the deduction for up to five years.
