Trustees' Academy
Ohio University's most prestigious gift society is the Trustees' Academy, established to honor those who make annual gifts of $2,500 or more, and those with lifetime contributions of $100,000 or more. Academy members have distinguished themselves with their high-level support to Ohio University.
Ohio Society
$2,500-$14,999
The Ohio Society is the entry level to the Trustees' Academy and recognizes alumni and friends who annually contribute $2,500 to $14,999. As Academy members, donors to the Ohio Society receive special recognition throughout the year and are considered part of Ohio University's inner circle of philanthropic support.
GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade)
- Graduates of the past 1-5 years
- $250 and above
- Qualifying alumni who make a gift at the level of $250 and above become members of the Ohio Society and Trustees’ Academy during the year of their gift. Membership is annually renewable.
- Graduates of the past 6-10 years
- $500 and above
- Qualifying alumni who make a gift at the level of $500 and above become members of the Ohio Society and Trustees Academy during the year of their gift. Membership is annually renewable.
Putnam Society
$1,000-$2,499
Named in honor of Ohio University's co-founder, Rufus Putnam, the Putnam Society recognizes alumni and friends who annually contribute $1,000 to $2,499.
Putnam Society members are listed in the annual honor roll of donors in The Ohio University Foundation's Annual Report and receive a framed Certificate of Recognition. They also receive special mailings and invitations to University events.
Templeton Society
$500-$999
Named in honor of Ohio University's first African American graduate, John Newton Templeton, the Templeton Society recognizes alumni and friends who annually contribute $500 to $999.
Templeton Society members receive special mailings and invitations to University events.
Lindley Society
$250-$499
Named in honor of the first president of Ohio University, Jacob Lindley, the Lindley Society recognizes alumni and friends who annually contribute $250 to $499.
Lindley Society members receive special mailings and invitations to University events.
Cutler Society
$100-$249
Named in honor of Ohio University's co-founder, the Reverend Manasseh Cutler, the Cutler Society recognizes alumni and friends who annually contribute $100 to $249.
