Study Abroad Experience, London, England.
"While searching for an experience, I happened to receive an email from the School of Fine Arts about an opportunity to study fine arts with Ohio University in London. The study abroad program offered classes in media, theatre and music which are my three favorite things in the world! I could walk the streets of Stratford-Upon-Avon and pretend to be Shakespeare, or I could do a performance in the middle of Trafalgar Square. I decided that if I didn’t take this offer, then I would regret it for the rest of my life."
"I had a chance to immerse myself into everyday life of the city and communicate with the city itself exploring all the nooks and crannies the city may have to offer. I also learned that I absolutely love London and I really would like to work there sometime in the future."
"How many people can say they took a picture on Abbey Road and have had a face-to-face conversation with George R.R. Martin (author and creator of “Game of Thrones”)! I even got to go to the Warner Brothers Studio and see all the Harry Potter film sets! The classwork is fun and engaging and you really learn hands-on. Then you take what you learn and see it in action! It’s honestly the most awe-inspiring and best feeling in the world to how what we are being taught translates from just a book and lectures into something that everyone can experience and enjoy. After a while, London becomes home and it is the weirdest thing in the world. I don’t know how many times I found myself referring back to London whenever I mentioned that I was ‘going home’."
