|  | LINDA R. DANIELS Director Multicultural Programs/Multicultural Center Email: DANIELSL@ohio.edu Linda R. Daniels became Director of Multicultural Programs in October 1997. In July 2000, she took on the additional role of Director of the Multicultural Center. Ms. Daniels is responsible for the supervision of all programs and services of the Office of Multicultural Programs and the Multicultural Center. Prior to her appointment at Ohio University, Linda served at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for 14 years as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Associate Dean of Student Life and Assistant Dean of Student Life. Ms. Daniels earned a M.A. in College Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Journalism/Communications from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. |  | WINSOME M. CHUNNU Assistant Director Multicultural Center Email: chunnu@ohio.edu Winsome Chunnu is the Assistant Director for the Multicultural Center. Her duties include: overseeing the daily operations of the Center, supervising student staff, coordinating programming for heritage celebrations, and contracting and scheduling art gallery exhibitions. She earned her M.A. in Political Science from Ohio University, a B.A. summa cum laude in Hotel Management from Huston Tillotson College in Austin, Texas, and an Associate Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Winsome is a Ph.D. student majoring in Cultural Studies in the College of Education. Prior to accepting the Assistant Director position, Ms Chunnu worked as an ARD in Residence Life, a Graduate Assistant in Multicultural Programs, and served as a Faculty Advisor for the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (Global Young Leaders Conference) in Washington, DC, during the summers of 2005 and 2006. |  | ALICIA R. BOARDS Assistant Director Multicultural Programs Email: boards@ohio.edu Alicia Boards joined the staff of the Office of Multicultural Programs as Assistant Director in August 2007. Her duties include: planning and implementing educational and cultural programming for multicultural students and advising the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB). Alicia earned a M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Prior to joining the MCP staff, Alicia served as a Student Development Specialist in the Office of Diversity Programs at Western Kentucky University. |  | PATRICIA B. Patricia Palmer provides administrative support for the Office of Multicultural Programs and the Multicultural Center. Her duties include: greeting visitors, preparing reports, handling correspondence, maintaining financial and personnel records, ordering supplies and other administrative duties. Patricia received her B.A. from Purdue University in interior design and prior to moving to Athens in 1987, she was a contract designer in San Francisco, Hawaii and Baltimore, MD. She has been an Ohio University employee since 1995 and joined the staff of the Office of Multicultural Programs in 2001.She served nine years as a board member of Classified Senate at OU and continues to be involved with classified employee issues. She is the proud grandmother of three, is active in community projects, enjoys attending soccer, football and basketball games, loves gardening, and is addicted to making and wearing jewelry! |  | ANTHONY (TONY) MAYLE Graduate Assistant Multicultural Center Email: am361701@ohio.edu Tony Mayle serves as the Graduate Assistant for the Multicultural Center. His duties include: assisting in overseeing the daily operations of the Center, planning and implementing programs and activities for multicultural students and serving as the office liaison to the Native Peoples Awareness Coalition (NPAC). Tony earned a B.A. in Organizational Communication Studies from Ohio University Zanesville and is currently pursuing a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the College of Education. Tony is actively involved with “The African American Presence in the Ohio River Valley” study, a joint project by the OU Department of African American Studies, Wayne National Forest, and the Multicultural Genealogical Center of Chesterhill, Ohio. Tony lives in Chesterhill with his wife, Amanda and 3 year old daughter Aleah. |  | CORIE A. M. RICHARDS Graduate Assistant Multicultural Programs Email: cr289403@ohio.edu Corie Richards is a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Multicultural Programs. Her duties include: co-advising the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB), and assisting in planning and implementing programs and activities for multicultural students. Corie earned her B.S. cum laude in Journalism from Ohio University in 2007 and is currently pursuing a M.Ed. in College Student Personnel in the College of Education. Corie also enjoys working as a Building Manager in the Baker University Center. A native of Warren, Ohio, Corie joined the MCP staff in September 2007. | | | | | | | | | | |
