Linda Daniels



Multicultural Programs/Multicultural Center



Linda R. Daniels became Director of Multicultural Programs in October 1997. In July 2000, she took on the additional role of Director of the Multicultural Center.  Ms. Daniels is responsible for the supervision of all programs and services of the Office of Multicultural Programs and the Multicultural Center. Prior to her appointment at Ohio University, Linda served at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for 14 years as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Associate Dean of Student Life and Assistant Dean of Student Life. Ms. Daniels earned a M.A. in College Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Journalism/Communications from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA.

Winsome Chunnu-Brayda


Associate Director

Multicultural Center



Winsome Chunnu is the Associate Director for the Multicultural Center.  Her duties include: overseeing the daily operations of the Center, supervising student staff, coordinating programming for heritage celebrations, and contracting and scheduling art gallery exhibitions. Winsome also serves as the adviser for the Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB). She earned her PhD in Education and a M.A. in Political Science from Ohio University. Winsome also earned a B.A. summa cum laude in Hotel Management from Huston Tillotson College in Austin, Texas, an Associate Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, and a diploma from Western Hospitality Institute, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Prior to accepting the Assistant Director position, Ms Chunnu worked as an ARD in Residence Life, a Graduate Assistant in Multicultural Programs, and served as a Faculty Advisor for the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (Global Young Leaders Conference) in Washington, DC, during the summers of 2005 and 2006. 

Patricia Palmer


Administrative Assistant

Multicultural Programs/Multicultural Center


Patricia Palmer provides administrative support for the Office of Multicultural Programs and the Multicultural Center. Her duties include: managing reservations for the Center’s Conference Room and Multipurpose Room, supervising workstudy students, greeting visitors, preparing reports, maintaining financial and personnel records, ordering supplies and other administrative duties. Patricia received her B.A. from Purdue University in interior design and prior to moving to Athens, she was a contract designer in San Francisco, Hawaii, and Baltimore, Maryland. She has been an Ohio University employee since 1995 and joined the staff of the Office of Multicultural Programs in 2001. She is a current board member of Classified Senate, an elected body that represents full- and part-time classified employees at the main and regional campuses. She previously served on Classified Senate for nine years. Patricia is a proud grandmother of four, is an active member of Easter Star, enjoys attending Ohio University football and basketball games, loves the Outer Banks, is very involved with family genealogy, and most importantly, loves working on doll houses with her granddaughter Julia.

Aaron Turner 


Graduate Assistant

Multicultural Programs



Aaron Turner is the graduate assistant for Multicultural Programs and the advisor for Black Student Cultural Programming Board (BSCPB). A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Memphis in Photojournalism. He interned for the New York Times in New Orleans, for their annual Student Journalism Institute. Aaron has also done multiple undergraduate research internships at Virginia Tech with the Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program (MAOP). Aaron is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Photojournalism. Aaron has a passion for storytelling and one day wants to teach photography at the collegiate level and work in the field of photojournalism.

Kaitrin McCoy  KAITRIN McCOY

Kaitrin McCoy is the promotional coordinator for Multicultural Center and the Black Student Cultural Programming Board. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 2009 and plans to graduate from Ohio University in Spring 2014 with degrees in journalism and music composition. Kaitrin most recently interned at the Chautauquan Daily at Chautauqua Institution, where she covered the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and Logan Chamber Music Series. She has a passion for music and drama and hopes to write and perform for theater in her future.

Isabella Knazek is the promotional coordinator for the Multicultural Center and the Black Student Cultural Programming Board. She graduated from Solon High School in 2010 and plans to graduate from Ohio University in Spring 2014 with a degree in Media Management and certificates in Environmental Studies and Entrepreneurship. Isabella most recently interned with the VICE Media Group, where she worked in Communications and PR. She plans to travel the world teaching English and cleaning up polluted water as well as working and excelling in the field of Media.
