   Letter from the Chair     

Welcome to the Classified Senate web page.  I would like to invite you to get involved, whether it is by sharing thoughts and ideas with your classified senate representative, joining one of our sub-committees or attending meetings and/or events throughout the 2009-10 academic year.

In July, we held our Classified Senate summer retreat and discussed what we were doing right and what we thought we should be doing differently.  We also discussed what we thought our constituents wanted from us.  We would like to hear from you!

We can make some positive changes for all classified staff even with the budget cuts in Ohio, such as the new Career Development Program (CDP).  We are very excited about this program and what it could mean to classified employees.  If you have comments, suggestions or ideas about how to make Ohio University a better place, we are your voice.  So watch your email, look over the minutes each month and talk to your representative often.  We can make a difference!
