Classified Senate actively participates in a variety of ways to be the voice for classified staff across Ohio University and branch campuses. We are currently participating on committees and discussions across campus. We continue to bring concerns of classified staff and our unique perspective to the table.

Classified Senate acknowledges outstanding employees with our Employee of the Month program. We are very pleased to recognize the hard working and talented classified employees across campus as well as our branch campuses. Show your support for outstanding co-workers and employees. Senate is hard at work raising money for our scholarships for students. We sell a variety of merchandise for this purpose. Items include two types of coverlets, pillows, totes, bobcats, earrings and charms. Classified Senate continues to provide opportunities for professional development throughout the year. Watch for emails about upcoming events.

The staff service awards are presented each fall for Classified staff that are celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40,…. years of service with the University.

Senate has established some great connections with OPERS. Helping keep you informed of changes with OPERS. We have successfully brought them to campus several times. There will be more opportunities to interact with them in the future.
