Nominate faculty, staff or alumni for a Global Engagement Award

The awards recognize current and former faculty and staff, as well as alumni for their outstanding contributions to international education, global competency, cultural understanding and/or international programs at Ohio University or in their fields or disciplines.

One faculty, one staff and one alumnus award is presented each year at the Global Engagement Awards Gala, which is held during International Education Week in the fall semester. A community organization award was presented for the first time in 2018 and will be awarded again in 2020.

The faculty and staff recipients receive a plaque and $1,000 to support their professional development endeavors. The alumni recipient receives a plaque and a travel allowance to fully or partially cover the cost of travel to Athens to attend the award ceremony. This Compass article provides additional information on the Gala, as well as information on the award winners from 2018.

Nominations can be submitted at this website through Aug. 31, 2019.
