With Love From Italy (Cooking Workshop)

Love, and the aroma of chocolate, are in the air. Come enjoy an evening of hands-on learning, cooking, and camaraderie as we explore a menu that reflects the romance of St. Valentine's Day. Whether you're honing your skills to prepare a special dinner for your sweetheart, or want a fun night out with a friend, you'll fall in love with the flavors and healthy twists this class has to offer. Instructor: Selena Baker, Nutrition Counselor with support from Applied Nutrition students. Registration is open. Cost: $35 for WellWorks members/ $40 for non-members.

Celebrate Women: Leaders On and Off the Court

The Women's Center, Bobcat Athletics, and the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program invite you to join us for our 8th annual celebration of OHIO Women Leaders. Nominate students in advance at: https://orgsync.com/130803/forms/346544. Past celebrations have included over 200 women leaders across campus! This year's celebration will take place during the halftime of the 1 p.m. Bobcat Women's Basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. Nominees selected by the Celebrating Women committee will be invited to the court during half-time for recognition. Prior to the game, at 11 a.m., there will be a reception for our leaders and their guests.

Workshop for Female Student Survivors

SAP and CPS will be offering a series of workshops aimed at helping individuals to learn skills in attaining safety from trauma. The workshop will speak to issues of coping, asking for help and seeking support from others.

International Student Career Planning Lunch

Ohio University Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition

Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, 7-8:30 p.m., Stocker Center 103, 28 W. Green Drive, Athens OH 45701

Competitors have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis/dissertation and its significance. Two semi-final rounds are scheduled on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 and Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019. The 3MT final round is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. Any enrolled master's or doctoral candidate can compete. Cash prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. In addition, People's Choice awards are given for both a master's and doctoral presentation. THEATER: "Holly Down in Heaven" by Kara Lee Corthron

Holly is a fifteen-year-old, brainy, outspoken, spoiled, tyrannical brat who collects dolls and is a born-again Christian. She’s also pregnant. During her nine-month odyssey, she must find a way to move forward with the new life she’s landed in or remain forever hidden in her own special heaven...of talking dolls. Holly Down in Heaven is a dark comedy about navigating the treacherous terrain from child to adult. Tickets are free for OHIO students with a student ID.
