Meet December 2018 Classified Employee of the Month Lindsay Radomski

The purpose of the Non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month award is to acknowledge and recognize those who are setting the standards for excellence and innovation at Ohio University.

This recognition is Classified Senate’s way of awarding those employees who have shown outstanding individual achievement and performance of their jobs, while inspiring and supporting the achievement of others. Criteria include:

  • Positive attitude and serving as a role model
  • Productivity and commitment to quality
  • Initiative and taking on additional responsibilities

The December 2018 recipient is Lindsay Radomski, an administrative specialist, who was nominated by Tania Basta, chair of the Ohio University Department of Social and Public Health.

The following are a sampling of the remarks Basta made about Radomski on her nomination form:

  • Lindsay goes above and beyond 100 percent every day for this department. If I ask her to do something, it is completed immediately and in a manner that always far exceeds my expectations.

  • She is always in a positive mood, which positively impacts everyone in the department – faculty, students and staff. I will often ask Lindsay to do something and she will respond with “I’ve already done it.” I do not know how this department would operate without her … she is glue that holds the department together!

  • Last spring, she helped navigate the scheduling of three simultaneous job searches and, while it was stressful, she was able to accomplish the task while interacting with many different stakeholders at the same time. I saw this as a test of the job and she passed with flying colors.

  • She recently was tasked with scheduling the travel of 12 students to a national conference in San Diego and was able to make all the necessary travel arrangements in less than a week.

  • Lindsay understands my “fast pace” work environment and thrives on multitasking. She understands the requirements of the job but is also able to anticipate activities that need to be completed before I ask her to do them. We work very well together and I firmly believe that the department has accomplished more this academic year because of Lindsay’s infectious attitude and commitment to her job. I hope we are able to keep her in my department for years to come!
