Electrical work may cause power blink, outage [UPDATE]

UPDATE 8/14 9 p.m. The electrical work scheduled for this afternoon and evening has been completed, and electric service on the Athens Campus should be operating normally.
If you are experiencing any isolated issues, or if you have any questions, please call Facilities at 593-2911.

Scheduled electrical work for a ground fault at an Ohio University substation may result in a power blink or outage in the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday, Aug. 14.

The work is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and will conclude at 10 p.m. Due to the nature of the work, there is a risk that some or all of the Athens Campus may experience a power outage during this time. If additional work is necessary past the initial time frame, it will be announced to the campus community via Compass, and will take place during the same window of time on Friday, Aug. 15.

The University community is thanked for their patience.
